Day in the life

Read about a ‘Day in the Life of: Jordan Le Bon who is the proud owner of Bonjorfilm a Media Production Company based in, Warsash, Southampton.'

“I was recently asked to write an article to explain what a ‘Day in the Life’ meant to me. I did not have to think too hard about what I wanted to say. I guess one of the main things I love about my job are that my days are extremely varied so I can honestly say, no two days are the same, except I suppose for the amount of tea I drink to get through them.

I’m lucky enough to travel a lot with my work and I get to meet lots of individuals from diverse backgrounds when I am filming. This usually means I am waking up in new city or town.

However, if I am not filming my day start’s around 7:30am and I write a list of tasks to complete. The morning is spent tackling business admin, i.e.. invoices, receipts & insurances (the boring stuff) so that I can have a clear mind for when I start to edit.

I built a cabin studio during lockdown where I can carry out a complete day of editing. During this time I am still answering calls, emails and texts from my clients meaning editing normally goes on late into the night. Luckily there is an endless amount of tea, and the studio is well insulated so it all makes for a cosy, motivating atmosphere.

As mentioned above most day’s finish quite late but some days I do get the chance to finish early. This is when I grab the opportunity to do a bit of sport, DIY, or turn my hand at cooking.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some truly incredible people, too many to name of course, many of which you can find on our website homepage.

I would like to give a special thank you to Wessex Heartbeat for recently inviting my team and I to film a charity video for them. (Link) Whilst there, I learnt more about the important work the charity does and what a huge impact they have on the lives of so many. Find out more & donate here.

I am truly blessed and very grateful for the small team I work with and the opportunities I have been presented with, especially as all aspects of my job in media production is something I love. At Bonjorfilm, we are passionate about promoting important causes, which is reflected in our motto: ‘media production for reel people!’

Thanks for reading and you can find out more about Bonjorfilm on our website:
